Corona Virus – Info for Box Scheme Customers
We just wanted to let you all know that we’ll be continuing with box scheme deliveries as normal as long as we are able to – everyone on the farm has stayed fit and healthy so far.
If you have your veggies delivered to a collection point and you are ill or self-isolating and can’t get out to collect your veggie box please get in touch with us -we can ask other customers at your collection point to help. In fact, a few have kindly already been in touch with us offering to do this if the need arises. Also, if you arrive to collect your veggies when another customer is already collecting theirs please wait for them to find their box first, waiting at least a metre away from them.
If you have your veggies delivered to your door, most of the time your veggies are just left in a safe place but if we usually knock and meet you and you are self-isolating please let us know.
We have had a huge surge in demand for veggie boxes over the past couple of days, and may well have to turn new customers away but we’ll try and meet all orders from existing customers for larger boxes/more frequent deliveries etc (but no guarantees here). We’ll be contacting any other new customers to ay to let them know if we can fulfil their order or not.
If you have a cash flow problem, get in touch, I’m sure we can help.
We will ensure our staff get sick pay equal to their normal wage if they are ill or self-isolating, so no-one is under any pressure to come to work. And, of course, we are following the advice regarding handwashing at the farm and using hand sanitizer when out in the vans delivering. We’re lucky to be working in an outdoor environment where we can minimize the risk of transmission.
Please get in touch with any problems at all, and we’ll try and help and we hope that you and your loved ones stay healthy.
Also, if you use e-mail and haven’t yet replied to our recent message asking you to check the contact information we have for you is correct please can you do so.
And if you are receiving a printed copy of this, this means we don’t have an e-mail address for you, so please ensure we have a ‘phone number we can contact you on if we need to pass on information at short notice.
Thanks , Sarah & Martin
